Fresh from advising detectorists to lie to French farmers about what they are looking for he now explains that the detecting "hotspots" are trade sites, hoard sites, long gone villages, fair sites etc. <br /><br />In other words, the exact places that shouldn't be denuded unscientifically to the point of extinction.
