"Partner" ACCG participates in CBA Portable Antiquities Collecting Conference
The ACCG is at the CBA conference on "Portable Antiquities: Archaeology, Collecting, Metal Detecting" . Now the British archaeological establishment is in "partnership" with artefact collectors, that will no doubt be applauded. Wayne Sayles presented a summary PowerPoint program following the general outline of a 61-page document on the topic of "Coin Collectors and Cultural Property Nationalism ". Whoopee. I bet there were no end of britarchaeologists lining up to smilingly shake the hand of the initiator of the illegal coin import stunt at Baltimore airport last year.
