What the Dealers' lobbyists are Not telling Collectors

.
Odd, isn't it that an article released online some time ago has received so little coverage in the collecting press, and is not being discussed on the blogs run by dealers' lobbyists. The implications of the text by Stephen Urice: "Between Rocks and hard Places: Unprovenanced Antiquities and the national Stolen Property Act" seem quite interesting with implications for a whole range of issues in the cultural property debate as it affects US collectors in possession of antiquities with no documentation of legal origins and their relationship with a trade that refuses to pay any attention to the issues of "provenance" in their dealings with so-called "minor antiquities".
