PAS says no to Hoard Hunters?

On a metal detecting forum near you, Ironhearted Gog (12.06.2013, 09:25) wrote in response to a point made by a member that it is a shame that a random archaeologist appears in a role that in 'responsible detecting' ideally would have been filled by a PAS liaison officer:

It looks like, given the proposed format of the programme, the PAS told them to go to Hell - but the tekkies don't want it known publicly. If they did, good for them.
