Police chiefs revealed that they have finally spoken to the mystery man after he had continued to head to the football pitch located next to Overseal Village Hall, in Woodville Road, in the search of hitting the jackpot. [...] “We would urge anyone who is doing this, or who has done it, to not do it on the football pitch".
The man was not named, neither is it clear whose land the pitch is on, and whether there are any local regulations in place restricting this activity there. Simply explaining to the culprit why he should not be doing it there in the past has not worked.
