Syrian Authorities Seize Eight Looted Antiquities


Syrian state-run agency SANA said on Sunday that authorities have seized eight second century AD antiquities from Palmyra. The agency said that people they defined as “terrorists” had spirited them away to nearby orchards, with the intention of smuggling them outside the country.
