How do Syria region coins enter the US and UK Markets?


Coincidentally, soon after my post on this, ARCA raise a similar question about a similar group of coins in a similar state to the Spink ones

How do Syria region coins enter the US and UK Markets? And why is there no provenance listed in the sale records?

    Even if these are legal coins, and I honestly do not (yet) have enough information to prove or disprove if the coins I tweeted and linked to are of suspect origin or not. What I want to know though is why listing proper provenance seems to continually be an option, vs. a legal requirement when selling objects from conflict zones. If these coins legitimately belonged to Jimmy's grandfather's cousin twice removed, attic in 1870, I want to see that listed.
