Need for Rules when discussing "antiquities"

People suggest that if I were "nicer" when writing about collectors of dugup aniquities, I'd not get the nastiness the latter continually thrown at people like myself and Nigel Swift by metal detectorists and small-minded lobbyists for antiquities dealers associations. Roberta Mazza writes nicely and politely but has just had to post up her blog rules stating which behaviours she will not tolerate. Apparently some Mark Gospel aficionados seem to be suffering from rudeness entitlement. Basically her rules boil down to: no anonymous comments, and comments "offensive in content or tones towards me, people who posted comments, or any other individual or group". What is it about antiquities collectors that brings out this behaviour in them?
