In the USA a fresh attempt is being made to get some legislation to supplement the creaky old CCPIA. This is HR 1493,
Protect and Preserve International Cultural Property Act, "To protect and preserve international cultural property at risk due to
political instability, armed conflict, or natural or other disasters,
and for other purposes" introduced into the House of Representatives, March 19, 2015. The dealers and their lobbyists are not happy... The wording is a bit of a mish-mash.
