Syria: Antiquities Trade through Porous Northern Border Interrupted?

Wikipedia
The efforts of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) since May to repel ISIL and take control of a significant area of the borderlands in the northern Ar-Raqqah Governorate between Syria and Turkey are coming to an end. Among the places captured have been the important border crossing of Tell Abyad which has figured in previous accounts as a major point in the trafficking of antiquities to Turkey. If the territory is held (unless local groups in the area decide to engage in it now along the traditional routes) any antiquities leaving the area will need to go by a separate route.

UPDATE
There is now a useful Wikipedia page on the Tel Abyad Offensive or Martyr Rubar Qamışlo operation
