Museum of Bible Starts its Own Excavations in Israel


The Museum of the Bible is funding a major new excavation in Israel. The site involved is Tel Shimron (Khirbet Sammuniya), a large unexcavated tell in the Jezreel Valley just W of Nazareth. The director of the project is Daniel Master of Wheaton College (IL); Mario Martin of Tel Aviv University has reportedly joined as co-director. Here is the website (listing academic partners here).
