Knowledge Theft not a Crime in Bonkers Britain

Historic England's heritage crime unit are annoyed about some lead roofing being 'surveyed' away.

Hmmm.

When metal is ripped off a historical building there's a police appeal, when metal is ripped out of an historical (Roman) site - calling it a 'survey', no response. We are all the victims of their selfish knowledge theft [....] Of course in the one case there is an intent to repair the damage which will be costly. In the second, no mitigation of the damage caused by these 'partners' in their 'survey' will ever even be contemplated.
So, I guess that for HE, that does not really matter then ('It's legal innit M8?')
