Yemen War Drags on

Yemen’s stalemated war has killed tens of thousands of people, badly damaged Yemen’s infrastructure and crippled its health system. Yemeni artefacts continue to be offered in the antiquities market, including on eBay, and:

This is a very big deal: Yemen's indigenous resistance movement Ansarallah (the Houthis) just carried out a massive counter-attack on the border with Saudi Arabia. They say they captured thousands of Saudi troops and mercenaries, killed hundreds more, and took over hundreds of armored vehicles and weapons in what Ansarallah leadership called "the largest operation since aggression started on our country." This will fundamentally change the course of the war, and smash the Saudi regime's morale — which was already very weak in the first place, hence why they hired so many mercenaries. The poorest country in Western Asia (the Middle East), Yemen, has issued a devastating blow to one of the richest countries in the world, which is backed to the hilt by the US and UK governments.
Yemeni military officials said Sunday the soldiers the Houthis claimed they captured were fighters recruited informally by the Saudi-led coalition to fight inside Saudi Arabian borders.
