Appalling War Criminal Talk from POTUS [UPDATE]

American Jihad now?
The President of the United States threatening (on Twitter!) to target another country’s non-military cultural sites:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump ·6 g.
[...] Iran has been nothing but problems for many years. Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level and important to Iran and the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!
Targeting civilian locations like cultural sites is a war crime. Destroying people’s heritage and history just because you can is an evil act of terrorism with no justification whatsoever. Who would have thought that the US would be choosing to elect somebody capable of even formulating such thoughts let alone willing to publicly express them with such impunity? No wonder they withdrew from UNESCO.
Making America what...?
Let us hope that in the US military are individuals with scruples that will refuse to obey any such orders from this man and advisers who have the courage to stand up to his blustering philistinism. He needs to be removed from power, now.

UPDATE 5th Jan 2020

New York Times, the head of the US government reiterates his warped reasoning:
“They’re allowed to kill our people. They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. They’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people. And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural site? It doesn’t work that way.”
These "roadside bombs" are in Wisconsin and Utah, or in countries where US military have been sent as invaders and foreign intervention? If they'd stop invading other countries, there would be no need for transatlantic imperialists to bomb civilians and cultural property there to 'defend US national interests'.

In any case, it is not a case of the US 'being allowed' to bomb or not bomb something, it is a choice. This is not a playground.

Meanwhile, defiant Iranians react to POTUS Trump's threat to target Iran’s important cultural sites by tweeting photos of their favourite sites using the hashtag #IranianCulturalSites.
