.
We all missed this one. The Elginism blog (February 17, 2012) has a post: "Tips for finding looted artefacts at your local museum" which refers in turn to an old (June 8, 2011) post on the "Chasing Aphrodite" blog: "Five Tips for Finding Loot at Your Local Museum". This certainly seems worth publicising. Like for example to schoolteachers preparing activities for their class for a school excursion to a local museum. Any "(probably looted) Ancient Coins for Education" programme would certainly take second place in any lesson on social responsibility and the pernicious extent of culture-crime to "Loot Hunt in the Local Museum as Education". Why not?
