BST2: Silence from tekkies?

So far it seems there's not been any significant discussions of series 2 of "Britain's Secret Treasures" on the major detecting forums. Let us see how the viewing figures compare with those of the last series of this low-brow "Britain's Got Treasure" show.

There's a photo of the infestation of the Alnwick sword by a celebrity's chlorides here. Perhaps the BM's conservators have been consulted and are of the opinion that, unlike the rest of us, film-stars contain no chlorides  and that handling of corroded iron  in that state out in the open air like that is not endangering it in any way...
