Centuries-Old Central European-Egypt link explored

A "spy duck" was captured in Egypt yesterday (Egypt Arrests ‘Zionist Spy Duck’),  the bird was spotted by a fisherman in the Qena region, he noticed that the bird had a device attached to its feathers, which he feared could be used to gather information. Ménes the White Stork has however now been released. The captured White Stork (a.k.a.#SpyStork/ #SpyDuck) has officially been released after the prosecutor's office issued its decision for the release of the stork fitted by central European ornithologists with a satellite tracking device. You can track Ménes the White Stork's migration route via satellite by following this link. I'm a bit worried about the storks from the nests near us this year, will they be coming back? Already a nest near me, occupied by the same family ever since I've been in Poland, was empty this summer. Will there now be more?

UPDATE 7.09.13
"The stork that was detained by Egyptian police on suspicion of spying has been killed and eaten, days after its release".
