Hoard Hoiking Reward Increased

Readers may remember metal detectorist Stephen Auker and his unhappiness that the Treasure Ransom he was getting for hoiking a Roman coin hoard and handing it over as the law requires was "not enough". Those who sympathise with hoiking and flogging back to society its heritage will be glad to know that   he has just received a revised valuation, what he calls:

an INCREASED offer [sic] from the British Museum for my Roman Denarii hoard. the increase is due to the rarity and condition of a single coin. Plautilla Denarius. So if they missed this as a team of values, what hope do we have for the future [?]

Pathetic, on all counts.
