In British archaeology, once part of imperial plunder, there are no ‘firsts’ among Africans. Current number of African faculty in UK and most of Europe is ZERO. African archaeology in Britain has never been diverse. Will it ever be diverse? #BlackintheIvory

This may well be true for sub-Saharan Africa (although I have some doubts), but certainly isn't for Egypt and Mediterranean Africa -- there are Egyptians, Moroccans, Libyans, Tunisians and Algerians working at archaeology departments in Europe, particularly in France. Not many, but they are there.
There are also white South-Africans in archaeology departments, but I suppose that does not count
