US Cultural Property MOUs. The Rest Currently Poorly Protected by US law

A year ago, I wrote this: 'US-Peru Cultural Property MOU Extended', Monday, 11 June 2012. Since then, there have been no new MOUs signed.

That is pretty pathetic "implementation" isn't it?

In the meantime a major UK dealer has been searching around the internet for details of the Peru MOU, perhaps what it covers what it does not. Look out for a Peruvian artefact on the market soon which will no doubt come from a "US collection" but be claimed to have got there before the MOU... I think this is worth noting for all the Houghtonists (falsely) complaining that only the US pays any attention to the Convention and its implementation (or in the case of the US, its "implementation").
