Professor Gill on the ADCAEA

David Gill has recently taken note of the "ADCAEA: an association for dealers and collectors" and it is gratifying to see that his views on what he read on their website are more or less similar to my own:
It is not clear why a new body is needed. One of the two dealers, Hixenbaugh Ancient Art, is already a member of the International Association of Dealers in Ancient Art (IADAA).

He also questions some of the dubious wording of the Code of Conduct which he assumes is intentionally phrased the way it is (in my discussion, I gave its authors more licence for ignorance), and he also questions the presence of a paid lobbyist on the list of officers of the new organization: "What signal does that send out about this new association?". So far the new organization has failed to engage with or clarify any of the questions raised about it. Let us see how long they can continue to dismiss them.
