Nigel Swift has asked me whether I want a metal detecting tee-shirt for my birthday, supplying a link to Kingdigger Metaldetecting Supplies from Watford, Herts. It's supposed to be "funny" you see. They cannot even get the spelling write. Many detectorists manifest on their foruums and in other places a childish sense of humour which matches the endemic childish attitudes which permeate the hobby.
Some of the other "Kingdigger" supplies are noteworthy, such as the "Archaeology metal detecting 3 Pack Wire Brushes" and the "Ex-Display Samuri Sword" - no field-trip would be complete without one.
