Inconvenient Timing "Let's Go Digging" Responsibility Fail [UPDATED]

Judith Johnson was there,
posted this on Facebook

The UK will go into Lockdown Two in just over a day and Let's Go Digging members just "had" to squeeze in that one extra day of hoiking. Yeah.  And this report is just coming in: Paul Howard Lets Go Digging Nationwide Metal Detecting Events

5 Gold staters and a Bronze Age axe head just up
Reactions:
Steven Allenby: Thats a hoard
Julian Evan-Hart:   WOW nice one Paul certainly a good site - probably best to determine distances involved and tribes before a hoard can be ascertained over a large area that may have been well-inhabited and these coins just being 'natural lossage' whatever - great finds - best Jules.
Carl Groves: Wow gutted I couldn’t make it
Paul Yarwood:  I knew I should have skived off work and begged my wife to drive me up!
Nauris Radvilavičius:  Awesome, Where is that Gloucestershire?
Gary Molloy:  Thats amazing
Chris Cuddon:  That's awesome
Rather than being awesome and amazing, now there is a problem of how safely to organise archaeological examination of the findspot to see if (a) it is a hoard (despite what Mr Evan-Hart thinks, that is not for Mr Howard to decide) and (b) what its context was on a "good [archaeological] site", perhaps a  "well-inhabited site". This is why notice was given, notice that these hoikers irresponsibly decided to ignore. I don't expect this will endear them to the local FLO.

Updated 3rd November 2020
It is now being reported:
Another Gold stater making total 7 today
Reactions:
Gary Molloy: Fantastic day for those on target, but i know from personal experience its a buzz being part of it.
Marc Porter Wow... Great day...
Louis Burns: Surely the farmer is going to get an extra special drink I think your £3000 limit is set far to high. One feild 7 staters needs reporting to the FLO and farmer needs a good drink
Louis Burns: did he say 7, he meant 3... that’s how it works isn’t it
Lee Ogram: 3 would still require FLO
Lee Ogram: really? I thought 3 was just under Looks like it was just the 1 found
Louis Burns: Why would you not record it?
Laurie Butler: With the amount of gold found today Is it classed as a scattered hauled [sic]?
Robin Dones: I remember when central searchers had a dig on a tiny field where 7 gold staters came up, he had another dig the following week there more than 200 turned up you couldn’t swing your machine lol
So who'll check there's nobody out at night raiding that field during lockdown until a proper search can be carried out?

This is a perfect example of how useless Britain's conservation arrangements are.

If they followed PAS's advice (and pigs flew in skeins across Glos) they'd cover it over until PAS could get there in a few weeks, providing and only providing it will be "secure".

More pigs flying.

This guy needs shutting down NOW. I've seen a Facebook video of their xmas event less than a month ago, with no social distancing and a group if 50+ yes 50+ in a enclosed space (barn). Surely this is enough evidence for a prosecution under covid laws.
