Antiques Legally Imported to US from Iraq and Syria in 2014

It seems to me that, while this trade is going on under everybody's noses, only Rick St Hilaire is paying much attention to the implications of the figures even though they are in the public domain  (Tuesday, January 5, 2016, "Antiques" from Iraq: Trade Stats Raise Questions; Tuesday, December 29, 2015 '"Antiques" from Syria: U.S. Cultural Property Import Stats Raise Suspicion). There are may questions to be asked here, and the answers would be telling ones. It beats me why nobody else seems to be bothered to ask them.

Who is buying this stuff and do they really know where it is coming from? Which US dealer would like to point us to their online shopfront where objects are openly displayed under the heading "this artefact legally imported from Iraq/Syria in 2014"?
