Italy MOU, Oh,.... oh.. OH... What a surprise!!!

Lacking real arguments,
lobbyist turns to trickery
Peter Tompa the paid lobbyist of the international ancient dug-up coin industry announces with a fake virtual sigh of relief (Friday, January 15, 2016, 'Import Restrictions Extended Not Expanded;):
The good news is that another extension of the [US] MOU with Italy did not mean another expansion of the designated list.  Greek, Etruscan and early Roman Republican and city coins remain restricted, but Roman Imperial coins may still enter the US without cumbersome (and most often unobtainable) paperwork. There was a concern that there might be a move to expand the list ...
No, the only "concern" was that the paid lobbyist of the international ancient dug-up coin industry was simply making up this alleged threat in order to scare gullible coin-collecting half-brains into protesting against the extension of the US/Italy MOU. That they did in comparatively high numbers (showing the shallowness of the layer of coineys able to actually think for themselves - a characteristic apparently lacking among those who collect antiquities generally). I expect the morons among them will be celebrating their imagined "victory" tonight.
