Communicating Archaeology in a Post Truth World'

Andy Brockman: 'Winter is coming, Communicating Archaeology in a Post Truth World'

However, perhaps worse for archaeology, even than the general lack of trust in experts and academics, is the sense that [...] the world of popular communications and TV Factual has already abandoned mainstream archaeology for a post truth construct of its own.
I personally think the author downplays the importance of the Scheme that was once (though no longer) toted "British archaeology's largest archaeological outreach" which portrays archaeology only as the enthusiastic hunt for "things" to add to collections.

Well worth reading and deep reflection - where is archaeology going?

Down the pan?
