Those of us appalled by pictures of callously flattened civilian targets, whole cities, in Ukraine, almost in the centre of Europe in the 21st century should bear in mind that this is nothing "new". Even in recent years we've seen the same thing in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and so many other places and each time piously intone "never again" and hope that this one is the promised "Последний бой".
