ADCAEA Inconsistent Again

Sands of Time says "sign the petition"
On their Facebook page, the Association of Dealers and Collectors of Ancient and Ethnographic Art (24 July) say it is "time to [...] develop plans to safeguard Syrian cultural artifacts", but then in the text below urge that readers should "Sign the petition below" against Germany's proposals for strictly regulating the international sale of art and artefacts to keep illicit antiquities (including and in particular Syrian conflict antiquities) off the market. How lacking in consistency and joined-up thinking is that?  Just what do these people want? I pity anyone who has paid an annual subscription only to find themselves associated with anti-due-diligence cowboys.
