Gustaf Kossinna Haunts Bloomsbury

In the essay by Michael Lewis (Deputy Head of Portable Antiquities and Treasure, British Museum)  about the "contribution to archaeology" which artefact collecting makes the Kossinnist underpinnings of the PAS are apparent:
Even in their own right, such stray finds are of interest to researchers studying particular object types and their distribution.
The New Archaeology never existed in the foggy backstreets of Bloomsbury, where the nineteenth century approach still reigns supreme.
