Detecting Invitation to Devon

It seems I have been invited to the British Isles by a metal detectorist. Under an old post here (Saturday, 7 December 2019, Chainsaw-Wielding Detectorist, 'Forbidden to Contact the Man with the Glasses') concerning metal detectorist Graham Chetwynd, for some reason a ' graham' said...

Possibly some punctuation is missing there. I am not all that convinced that the author of those words and I would have a very fruitful or amicable discussion, so I think I'll not bother going.

TAKE A GOOD LOOK at this behaviour, for these are precisely the sort of people the PAS wants to grab more and more millions of public quid to make into the "partners" of the British Museum, archaeological heritage professionals and to whom they want us all to entrust the exploitation of the archaeological record. Take a good look and decide what you think about that as a "policy".

Surely this is Fake news. The BM wouldn't support people of this ilk. The way you write about the harmless hobbyists is as if they were mostly criminals after a tax free windfall, not the ex policemen, bishops and country gentlemen participating in lawful citizen archaeology that the BM via PAS support.

Well, of course I deliberately do not mention the squads of metal detecting and reporting policemen, the synods of responsible bottle-digging bishops and the legions of artefact-collecting High Court judges. I guess the PAS could make up the shortfall, but they have only said that most of their clients come from "C2 and D" and a lot of them voted for Brexit.
