Norwegian coverage of the Martin Schøyen Incantation Bowl Scandal

Josephine Munch Rasmussen reports from Oslo on the IraqCrisis list that over the last couple of days, the Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv has published articles on the topic of the 654 aramaic incantation bowls in the Martin Schøyen collection which was the subject of a UCL report which was suppressed and then leaked. The report concluded that the bowls were in all probability illegally removed
from Iraq.
The newspaper adresses the conclusions in the UCL-report, the history of illicit objects in the Schøyen Collection, the looting of the National Museum in Baghdad as well as the ongoing looting of archaeological sites in Iraq. The
journalists have interviewed Lord Colin Renfrew, Donny George Youkhanna, Dr. Lamia al-Gailani Werr, Jenina Bas (on behalf of Schøyen), Museum Director Dr. Amira Edan and Bahaa Mayah (Ministry of Tourism and Antiquity), among others.
Those who read Norwegian apparently can find the text here.
