The PAS head office is now (only now?) reading the reviews of "Detectorists", including on this blog. What would their reasons be for that? It's fiction, a sitcom, as many detectorists point out. Could it be that the PAS are belatedly putting together a detailed "real public outreach" information pack about responsible metal detecting and artefact hunting best practice after all? It's about time they got their corporate finger out and did more than just gather as many finds records as they can and started addressing public attitudes about artefact hunting and collecting.
