Cotswold farmer claims detectorists 'raping land of Roman history' BBC 12 October 2015
Metal detector users who illegally remove buried ancient artefacts are "raping" the ground of Roman history, a farmer has claimed. "I'm not so worried about the value of what they're stealing. I'm more concerned that they are raping this ground. This is Roman history," said Kingscote farmer Graham Nichols. See the video trailer here.
