In a revealing post on Looting matters 'The Antiquities market and the Journal of Field Archaeology" David Gill discusses the recent unpleasantness that erupted in certain pro-collecting circles when our friend Nathan Elkins published a text in the Journal of Field Archaeology about the ethical issues involved in a US coin-dealers' campaign to involve schools in propagating the no-questions-asked trade in ancient dugup coins from other countries.
