Over in the UK we find trolling detectorists trying to reinforce the stereotype of the preservationist as classist elitists trying to exclude the "masses" from direct interaction with the archaeological heritage, while over the other side we find coineys labelling preservationists "communists". Clearly concern for the environment crosses many political boundaries.
