The Digital Digging blog was created in early 2008 by Henry Rothwell, and he has just produced a review of the ITV grabfest spectacular"Britain's Secret Treasures" which is a really brilliant summary. Even if you could not be bothered to watch the programme (there was a good programme about aerial photograph interpretation on BBC), it gives a good taste of the way the programme came over. What is interesting is that the author of this blog actually works for the CBA, an organization which, it later turned out, was deeply involved in the production of this pseudo-archaeological charade. I hope he got on the phone to headquarters to ask just what it was they were thinking.
