Detecting Under the Microscope: Troll Alert

.
Over on the Heritage Action blog there have been a number of comments to some of the posts on metal detecting which have not always adhered to the topic of the post, and tended to deflect attention away from that subject.  note that this message has now appeared on four of the recent comment threads including ones where I have been involved in responding to these people:

Debs, Claire, Maggs, Emma, Womble, Sean, Blue82, Liz,, Greg, Sparticus, Jonty etc - we are aware you are the same person, using the same computer, and a metal detectorist keen to disrupt a conservation website. You make our case perfectly, as have your many predecessors.
Debs for example here
Liz, for example here - time wasting.
Jonty here.
Claire, Maggs, Emma, Womble, Sean, Blue82, Greg, and Spartacus all here having a conversation with himself. Note the comment by Epona in the middle "Maybe your post is just a windup though." - apparently this person's intention was to cause a HA member to say something compromising in response that could be quoted on tekkie forums: ("See? this is what such people think").

This is what makes it particularly galling that the British Museum's Portable Antiquity Scheme labels as Trolls those who consistently contributed under their own names posts to the PAS Forum, when as is clearly seen here, many years on it is their "partners", metal detectorists like this jerk simply cannot grow out of this kind of disruptive behaviour and address the issues raised.
