"Track and Trace" UK Tekkie Style

The UK is floundering with getting any kind of an anti-Covid19 policy in place (Brexity Boris's government does not really do "policy") so it is no surprise that the even less intellectually endowed in the country can't really work out the notion of track and trace. Like the metal detectorists. This (from Facebook) is their idea of how to comply with the existing regulations, such as they are. It refers to the predecessor of the Pink Wellies Rally at Reed that's just been cancelled on the advice of the police:
HELLO! Who is up for a dig this coming Sunday 27th at somewhere different. Postcode will go [out] on Friday evening. Same rules as before - postcode on piece of paper inside sealed envelope handed to Klaine on the gate. Social distancing of 2 metres. Right money please £20 per detectorist NOT IN ENVELOPE PLEASE!!!! Four fields near Reed, Herts. NO PM’s PLEASE TO EITHER KLAINE OR ME. Add your name below.
So stuff the actual contact details of participants, but bring the right money! It is easy to see why nobody in their right minds would trust these people's notion of "responsibility" when they can't even be responsible for the health and safety of their own members, or understand why there might be a need to trace an individual that attended, rather than pop on a map the general area of the country from which they came.

And obviously ("same rules as before") it is not (a) something they're doing for the first time, or (b) something a single one of their members had the grey cells to realise was not an effective policy that was providing a safe environment for paying clients.

So, 320 people at 20 quid each, that's 6400 quid cash in hand for the organizers... and everybody can pocket as much of the archaeological record as they can find and carry off. And how many of those do they organise in a typical year?
