Bulgaria launches project in fight against cultural heritage crimes

The Bulgarian Minister of Interior Affairs, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, will open a project themed “Enhancing the administrative capacity of the officers with the Interior Ministry for prevention and solution of crimes connected to the cultural heritage of Bulgaria”, the press office of the ministry announced. [...] The international partner in the project is the specialised unit for cultural heritage protection with the Italian Carabinieri, while the national partner – the Ministry of Culture.
Let's hope it chases up the connections between foreign dealers (eg in the US) who have been facilitating illegal export of huge quantities of the material produced by looting of archaeological sites.
