"If you watched Britain’s Secret Treasures on ITV1 last night, you might be forgiven for thinking ...."Members of the public, recipients of such sensationalised, dumbed-down and unreflective "outreach" might be forgiven for getting an entirely false picture of what modern archaeology is about, but after all what can one expect when you only invest fifteen million quid into giving them this kind of information?
