Egypt: Looting Reported at Dashur and Abu Rawash

There are a number of photos in this stream showing what the photographer (Monica Hanna) says are recent looters' holes at Dashur. There are also shots showing ongoing encroachment of new buildings into an area formerly protected as an archaeological site (probably wouldn't have happened under you-know-who). There are also reports coming out that the highly interesting site at Abu Rawash has been largely destroyed by looting and illegal building. The site contains the 4th dynasty Pyramid of Djedefre and there are several online accounts of the site and its promise (for example here).
