Druid, or stray Iberian, or something else?
maryannochota Votive figurine found by a metal detectorist in Anglesey. May have been used by a Druid? Or maybe it IS a druid.... Hat or hair? Earrings? Holding a wand?! (The info says sword but hmmm). Either way it's definitely bronze and at least 2000 years old.
Not in PAS database... Anyway the point is, without a context in the archaeological record, this is just a thing. Since its attribution seems to be based on "it looks like" criteria, in that state, it only provides information about our own preconceptions and assumptions.
