Australia's Fires

Record-breaking temperatures and months of severe drought have fuelled a series of massive bushfires across Australia. This is a very distressing representation of where the bush has been burnt, or currently is burning. Every single state/territory is burning. Reports suggest that there have been 23 human deaths so far, more than half a billion animals killed, 12 million acres of land ravaged, 1500+ homes destroyed. Probably in a number of them was cultural property and even antiquities, private collections have little protection against disasters of this nature.
