The ACCG Guide to Winning Arguments

.
I remember ACCG retained mouthpiece John Hooker promising coin collectors that if they became ACCG members and began subscribing to his newsletter he'd be giving them some tips how to argue with preservationists. I of course do not subscribe to the newsletter, but I think I have found what he sent them in another place. The tactics it describes are precisely those used by the ACCG apologists for no-questions-asked artefact collecting (for "Bible" read "Constitution"). Take a look and see what you think..."How to win an argument" (by Chris Jarzombek).

Wow, that sounds exactly like the ACCGers. Wayne Sayles always talks about he loves this country and is a great patriot protecting "freedom." Then you've got ACE, ACCG's pet project. I'm sure that Dave Welsh has talked about coins as "religious talismans", and of course most of them have called archaeologists Nazis (Sayles and Welsh) and even invoked the name of Hitler (Welsh).

You hit the nail on the head here, Mr. Barford!

Last time I looked, Welsh's "Nazi" similes are still up on his blog, Wayne Sayles took care to delete his name-calling from his blog before writing a post about how "civil" the UK's metal detectorists were (I guess he wanted to point out that some other people are less civil - especially after being called names by him).

Well, it beats me why intelligent people would allow this crowd to present themselves to the rest of the world as their leaders and spokesmen...
