Acropolis liberated again

.
Its not just looters that the Greek culture ministry has to deal with. Dozens of Greek culture ministry workers occupied and shut down the Acropolis in Athens on Wednesday morning in a protest over unpaid wages and redundancies. They were demanding two years of back pay. They barricaded themselves inside, padlocked the entrance gates and refused to allow in tourists. This (Thursday) morning police fired tear gas and charged at the protesters. TV images showed police chasing them around the ancient monument.

How can anyone live for two years without being paid?

I read somewhere that many of them were part-time workers, and maybe we are talking about people dedicated to their job. These are the people that Tompa and all the rest want to take illegally exported artefacts from - as if they have not got enough problems.
