[...] In a year when we’re all celebrating what it means to be British, and in association with the British Museum, we’re counting down the 50 most interesting finds – and how their stories have shaped our past and the nation we are today.Not a very edifying picture then, a nation which in nationalistic tone glorifies letting ten thousand or more people to plunder the archaeological record for geegaws to add to their own personal, private collection or flog off on eBay and calls them "partners" of Archaeology. So, who is going to be anxious to have their products advertised on ITV alongside such a spectacle? Let us see.
