Focus on UK Metal Detecting: "Manners Please"


On a UK metal detecting forum near you one can see how standards are falling. Over here on the continent the propensity for the Englist (Brits) to say "please and thank you" at every opportiunity is legendary, and taken as a national characteristic. Not so in metal detecting circles it would appear, members seem to come from milieus where they were not brought up to do this: "Blackadder43" (moderator) "Something for you guys to think about" (Sun Sep 19, 2010 3:05 pm). As Minister David Lammy pointed out, an awful lot of C2s and Ds. If they have to be taught manners in their mutual interactions, what else is missing from their upbringing?
