Over here on the continent the propensity for the Englist (Brits) to say "please and thank you" at every opportiunity is legendary, and taken as a national characteristic. Not so in metal detecting circles it would appear, members seem to come from milieus where they were not brought up to do this: "Blackadder43" (moderator) "Something for you guys to think about" (Sun Sep 19, 2010 3:05 pm). As Minister David Lammy pointed out, an awful lot of C2s and Ds. If they have to be taught manners in their mutual interactions, what else is missing from their upbringing?
