I wonder how many in the UK will still be tuning in to the Portable Antiquities Scheme dumb-down artefacts roadshow tonight? At great public expense an attempt has been made on behalf of the "partners" to turn some tekkie-take-take into gawpworthiness. Heritage Action today discusses some heritage give-give, real archaeology done by amateur volunteers ('Hurrah for the unpaid heroes of Archaeology!', 24/10/2013). No Treasure awards in the offing here.
