Focus on UK Metal Detecting: A Detectorist's Creed and "Responsible Artefact Hunting"

An anti- archaeological detectorist's creed, complete with spelling mistake:
Those who beat thier swords into ploughshares become the slaves of those who don't
Now this gentleman has out of the blue (though under a pirate's flag) just posted another obsessive ad hominem attack on two preservationists on a British metal detecting forum, let us see what kind of response this unprovoked outburst elicits from (so-called) "responsible detectorists". Just what are these forum members going to take responsibility for? Passively accepting such behaviour in their midst, or reacting to it - one way or the other? Register with the forum and take a look.

TAKE A GOOD LOOK at this behaviour, for these are precisely the sort of people the PAS wants to grab more and more millions of public quid to make into the "partners" of the British Museum, archaeological heritage professionals and to whom they want us all to entrust the exploitation of the archaeological record. Take a good look and decide what you think about that as a "policy".

Those, by the way, who insist on
"living by the sword' in a time of peace  inevitably

thus bring about their own self-destruction.
