Civil War Soldier’s Skull Pulled from US Auction


A Maryland auction company was unprepared for the negative public reaction that erupted when a Civil War soldier’s skull was set to be sold on June 3. The remains had been found decades ago at the former site of a field hospital used after the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863.
